Why don't English channels pay more attention to soccer?

It's ridiculous really, i mean i turn on my tv that has basic cable and i see GOLF and TENNIS and SPELLING BEES but never any good international soccer match! I have to go to my tv with satellite to see a game! Our national team is currently in south africa in the confederation cups SEMIFINALS going against SPAIN the european champions (beasts) yet there is no coverage of this on any webpage like yahoo or msn ? It's sad really i go on yahoo and see golf and all this other crap coverage but not soccer. Why?! Only channels in spanish show all the soccer matches and stuff, i don't think it's fair.
