How long does it take to reach terminal velocity when in the free fall of skydiving?

I've done a tandem jump. But due to the adrenaline rush I have no idea how long it took to reach terminal velocity. All I remember is that once terminal velocity was reached it wasn't that scary and I would happily do it again without the acceleration of free fall.
